Kerry O'Brine: Press Pictures

As I mentioned when delivering Kerry's sneak peak earlier in the week, Kerry is currently in the midst of promoting her new Autumn/Winter work wear clothing range for women. I was also the lucky one who got to photograph her sample pieces ready for what is sure to be a whirlwind of excitement around this fab new designer.

Kerry contacted me recently as she needed some pictures of herself to include in press kits to send out  to PR companies, magazines and newspapers as well as include on her website. I of course jumped at the chance. We've been very much in the same boat since the beginning of the year when we both decided that we were going to start up and run our own businesses. We both got involved with the Princes Trust and their enterprise program back in March which has seen us both receive well deserved loans to get our businesses kick started!

If you live in Colchester and get the Gazette delivered keep an eye out on Monday evening for Kerry's first interview in the Women's section.

Without further ado, I have bee dying to show these pictures off on the blog. Here is Kerry who insists she is not a good model, doing some very fabulous modelling indeed!

Wishing you all the success in the world with Kerry O'Brine Womenswear!

Nic & Lewis - Sneak Peek

In two weeks time these two tie the knot in Colchester. I visited their home for their engagement shoot and met a very nervous Nic! I'm sure she's not the only one who gets nervous when a camera is pointed her way (I know I do!!) but you'd never guess when seeing the pictures.

Here is their gorgeous summery sneak peek!

Nicola's Barn Dance Photo Booth

Last weekend Nicky celebrated her 40th birthday and having been planing it for what seems forever we were all excited to attend because it meant we got to dress up as cowboys (and girls!). Everyone made a brilliant effort with their costumes and all got up and took part in line dancing and square dancing all night long.

I set up a photo booth and sure enough as the drink flowed, people ventured in! I just had to upload a few to blog whilst the others are currently burning themselves to disc for Nicky.

If you attended Nicky's Barn Dance, she will soon have a copy of all the images taken on the night, so get in touch to see yours!

Millie- Teen Representative 2011 - Mersea Photo Shoot

Millie's teen photo shoot is so whimsical, girly and full of pastel colours,  I have been so excited to get it blogged.

We met at Seaview beach in Mersea which is where we found these gorgeous pastel beach huts lining the seafront. Having lived in Colchester my whole life I'm surprised I've never heard of this area or already been there, but it made a brilliant backdrop for Millie's photos.

Millie is like many other teens going through exams at the moment. So I wish not only her but all of you the best of luck for the coming few months.

Remember if you're interested in your own teen shoot in a location of your choice a donation is made to Teenage Cancer Trust for everyone I book. I'm also now offering gift vouchers just email kerrie@kerriemitchell.co.uk and ask. They make the perfect present for good exam results!

Claudia Carter - Shoot Swap

It seems like ages ago now that Claudia and I met for lunch in Colchester whilst she was down for a few days to meet lots of photographers in London. We did a bit of shopping and then took some pictures of each other at Castle Park.

Claudia is such an inspiration to both myself and lots of other people. I met her at SWPP in January and she seems to have single handedly pulled together a great community of photographers both pro and amateur to offer advice and experience to one another. Before SWPP I didn't know anyone, and after a meet-up in the pub after the conference I was suddenly able to faces to names and even speak to Chris Becker. She is also in the process of setting up 'Photography Events UK' a website that will list all photographic events such as workshops, exhibitions, shoot swaps, meet-ups, conferences in one place online. It's a mammoth task but such a great idea, it wont be long until it launches!

Below are my pictures of Claudia from our meet-up.

Family Photo Shoots in time for Mothers Day

Over the weekend of March 26th and 27th I'll be at Highwoods Country Park in Colchester, Essex for a weekend of family photo shoots. Each family will get a 45 minute slot, where we'll walk around the park taking group shots and candid photographs of you all having a fun day out.

You'll get a framed 15"x10" image in either a light wood or white wood frame and the same image on disc for you to make further copies from or e-mail to all your relatives. A perfect mothers day gift! All for £70. (Mothers day is April 3rd this year for all those of you who are panicking!)

Photo shoots are by appointment only so you'll need to e-mail me (kerrie@kerriemitchell.co.uk) to book your slot. I'm planning 5 or 6 per day. Make sure you book up quick, to avoid disappointment!

Sophie - Teen Representative 2011 - Colchester Photo Shoot

I'm so delighted to share these photos. Think it may be my quickest editing turnaround because I have just been so excited to get them up here and show Sophie.

Sophie came along yesterday for her teen representative photo shoot. It was cold, but luckily she was a trooper and you'd never tell! She also brought along her mum and friend Mia, who were perfect assistants for the day (they suggested we used the tyre, geniuses!).

Enjoy the photos below, I have to say that in some of the images Sophie reminds me of Anne Hathaway, see if you can spot the ones I mean.

Thank you again for coming along Sophie, your rep cards and posters are on their way. I hope you have fun being a representative.

There is still one place left for teen representatives, if you're interested get in touch by emailing me via: kerrie@kerriemitchell.co.uk
