On May Day I was invited along to photograph Nikki and Antony's wedding at the beautiful Mulberry House in High Ongar. They had planned a very small intimate wedding which included a blessing under a tree after the main ceremony.
As they were married on a Tuesday Nikki and Antony chose to have a smaller wedding package of just three hours coverage, which was perfect to capture all the important parts of their day.
Their ceremony was designed for them personally, being written by Katie Deverell a ceremony designer. She provided a beautiful ceremony full of sincerity, laughter and emotion. I wanted to include a passage from the ceremony here for you all too.
"Trees are
important symbols around the world representing strength, constancy and
longevity. When we look at them we see both peace and power. Trees are grounded
in the earth but also reach upwards and outwards as they grow. These qualities
are all important for a long and happy marriage, one anchored through commitments
and promises but able to expand, adapt and change as the relationship matures.
We trust that Nikki and Antony’s relationship will be like a tree able to move
and sway with the wind, sparkle in the sunshine and bring a cool and calming
shade."
So now to let the photos do the talking:
